New Pharmacy Consultation Room
Community Pharmacy in Rutland now has a private space for you to ask a pharmacist how to properly take a medication or ask for information on the purpose of a medication, its interaction with other medications, side effects, and precautions you need to be aware of.
“The counseling area provides a space for patients to have a one-on-one with a pharmacist to review their medications and discuss any questions they may have,” said Community Health Pharmacist Ryan Waltzer, PharmD. “A consultation room increases privacy, personalizes care, and improves medication management and healthcare outcomes.”
Community Pharmacy – Rutland, located on Woodstock Ave. (in the former Beauchamp & O’Rourke Pharmacy), is a full-service pharmacy offering prescription fulfillment, medication counseling and assistance with medication affordability through Community Health’s Sliding Fee Discount Program.
“Pharmacists are the most accessible healthcare providers in the community, and patients aren’t always familiar with the full range of expertise and customer service a pharmacist can offer,” Waltzer said. “The counseling room provides an opportunity to ask your pharmacist sensitive questions about medical conditions, medication options, and costs in a comfortable setting.”
Community Health patients will benefit from the coordinated care between their Community Health provider and Community Pharmacy, making it easier to manage medications and address overall health and wellness by taking advantage of our full-service, conveniently located pharmacy.
