Shanna Gossett, MEd, LCMHC

Shanna “Nikki” Gossett, MEd, LCMHC, is a licensed clinical counselor and behavioral health therapist at Community Health where she works with adults. Gossett is drawn to the caring connections and the direct communication of the people in Vermont and Community Health and appreciates the organization’s dedication to accessible quality care.
Born and raised in Kentucky, Gossett previously worked in community-based services and mental health, specializing in parent-child interaction therapy.
During her 12-year career in human services and counseling, she’s been a case manager, therapeutics services coordinator, family support specialist, and therapist for individuals, couples, and families. She was trained as a parent-child interaction therapist. She’s worked with adults and groups in substance abuse programs where she also taught parenting classes.
Gossett holds two degrees from Lindsey Wilson College, a master’s of education in human development and counseling and a bachelor of arts in human services and counseling.
She lives with her son, daughter, and two cats. Gossett enjoys reading, hiking, concerts, theater, and the beauty of Vermont.

I strive to serve and empower others to live authentic and fulfilling lives. What’s most important to me is to empower people to know that they can change their lives, and they can alter their own perception of life through therapy.
