Lucy Rogers Shortsleeves, PA-C
Family Medicine
Lucy Rogers Shortsleeves, PA-C, brings ten years of clinical experience to Rutland Express Care. Shortsleeves has supported primary care physicians in private practices in Massachusetts and Maine diagnosing and treating acute and chronic problems in outpatient settings and at a walk-in care center.
A Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Grove City College led to a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Shortsleeves appreciates the integrated primary care services and the different aspects of care offered at FQHCs like Community Health.
Born in Kenya, and growing up in the Chicago area and Massachusetts, she said “What feels like home is being near farms and mountains.” Moving to Vermont from Maine, she and her Vermont native husband are building family connections for their three young children in the Rutland area. Shortsleeves enjoys cooking and reading and dedicates a lot of time hiking with her family, “getting out in the woods.”
Philosophy of Care
To provide healthcare access to families and children when needed and desired with confident, pediatric-focused care in close collaboration with a primary care team. Meeting the immediate medical needs with a personal approach to solving the problem with shared decision making.
