I was raised in a small town in New York’s Hudson Valley and later relocated to Florida, where I spent five years working at Miami Children’s Hospital in the Level One Trauma and Emergency Department. After graduating from Emory University, I returned to Miami and joined my husband’s pediatric practice. We practiced together for 15 years, caring for children in a busy pediatric setting and building lasting relationships with families.

Seeking a quieter lifestyle, we moved to Vermont, where Community Health Castleton was located near our home. For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of caring for children in this community – many from birth – and now, in some cases, caring for the next generation as families return with their own children.

Outside of work, I enjoy gardening and spending time with our dogs.

Philosophy of Care

I prioritize establishing relationships with parents and children based on mutual trust and respect. I enjoy working as a team with parents to care for their children. I strive to support shared decision making regarding their child’s healthcare. It is important families know I am available and open to any discussions regarding the care of their children. I am very passionate about explaining recommendations and educating parents, so they feel comfortable and well informed. I enjoy watching their children grow up. It is so awesome when previous patients come back with their own children. This is a great privilege and a great joy.

Professional Interests: 
Dermatology, Asthma, Education on prevention of illness, normal growth and development and effective parenting of children. I most enjoy meeting families with newborns and working with them as their “babies” grow up.
