Isobel Nimtz, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatry
Isobel Nimtz, PMHNP- BC, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) who supports adult Community Health psychiatric patients with medication management. Her 13 years of experience as a registered nurse for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical conditions, as well as psychiatric comorbidities, include nursing care at the surgical care unit at Rutland Regional Medical Center and the spine and orthopedic unit at Mission Health in Asheville, NC.
A Vermont native, Nimtz graduated from Castleton University with a bachelor’s degree in literature. Her passion for the humanities and the human condition led her to a degree in nursing from Western Carolina University, followed by a master’s program at Walden University and certification as a PMHNP. “Nursing was the most profound way to connect with people and help them,” she said. She is drawn to Community Health’s holistic collaborative services, community outreach, and harm reduction approach to healthcare.
Surrounded by friends and family in Vermont, Nimtz enjoys the outdoors, canoeing, swimming, hiking, gardening, and the arts, painting, sewing, music and literature.
