Andre Eason, Jr., LCMHC, LADC, is a behavioral health clinician at Community Health Behavioral Health. Eason provides a broad range of clinical services for older teens and adults including independent psychosocial assessments and treatment plans for ongoing individual and group therapy programs. As a licensed drug and alcohol counselor, he focuses on providing a safe space for individuals who are dealing with or recovering from all types of substance abuse and other addictions including gambling, social media, video games, and internet use.
A graduate of Northern Vermont University’s master’s program in clinical mental health counseling he studied adolescent substance abuse and brain development. At Lyndon State College he earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and criminal justice and worked as a peer mentor, residential care instructor, counselor, and tutor.
Following an award-winning college career as a student-athlete, Eason served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Northern Vermont University’s men’s baseball team. Experience working with athletes and Upward Bound disadvantaged youth led to his interest in helping teens develop the skills to become successful college students.
Eason enjoys the Vermont woods, outdoors, traveling, and visiting family in Connecticut. He leads an active life exercising, participating in recreational softball and basketball leagues, gardening, and sharing a home with his partner and two rescue dogs.
