Allison Adams, MD, FAAP is Associate Medical Director of Community Health Pediatrics. She started practicing pediatrics at Community Health in 2007 finding Rutland a vibrant and amazing place. Originally from Buffalo, NY, she moved to New England after completing medical school at the University of Buffalo and a pediatric residency at Women and Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, NY.
She received an undergraduate degree in biology from Davidson College in NC and earned her master’s degree from SUNY Buffalo, researching medication resistance among HIV-positive patients. She then worked in research at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, and at a Boston firm developing electronic medical record software.
As Associate Medical Director, she is focused on serving the community’s needs with more availability of appointments and accessibility to services when needed.
Dr. Adams is married and is a mom to 13-year-old and 11-year-old twins as well as 23-year-old twin stepchildren. She and her family enjoy hiking, skiing, and playing and watching sports.
Philosophy of Care
To treat the whole family as a unit and to follow every child’s growth and development to make their lives as healthy and happy as possible. I’ve always loved kids. Children are amazing and are hilarious and keep me on my toes. Working with them is incredibly rewarding.
