Abby Gaughan, DMD, provides endodontic care for adults and children at Community Dental Shoreham. Endodontic care involves root canals and other procedures to save teeth. “I believe high-quality endodontic therapy and a kind chairside manner should be available to all patients,” she said. She previously worked at Champlain Endodontics in Burlington. Originally from a small town in Ohio, Dr. Gaughan and her young family moved to Vermont from Philadelphia where she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, specializing in endodontics.

Outside of the office, Dr. Gaughan enjoys hiking, cooking, and reading. “We hike as a family and enjoy bike riding and the outdoors,” she said. She also helps train dental students as a guest lecturer and clinical instructor at UVM Dental School.
