Joanne Calvi, BSN, RN
Joanne Calvi has been a board member for Community Health for over ten years and she currently serves on the Finance and Quality Commitees. Joanne received her Bachelor of Science Dgree in Nursing from the University of Vermont in 1973. Joanne’s 48-year career in Nursing began as a Public Health Nurse where she worked for the Vermont Department of Health and continued working for VDH as a Nursing Supervisor and District Director in Rutland County. Joanne’s long career in Public Health focused on Maternal-Child health, Envirnmental health, Immunizations, Epidemiology, and other public health events and initiatives. Joanne continues to be interested in population health issues with a focus on prevention and a desire to protect and improve the health of all Vermonters. Since retirement, Joanne volunteers with the Vermont Medical Reserve Corps. Joanne is a long time resident of Fair Haven and Castleton Vermont where she currently lives with her husband on Lake Bomoseen. Both enjoy time with their family and outdoor activities including walking, biking, swimming, and Nordic skiing.
