Court brings a varied professional background to her work as a mental health clinician, with experience in vocational rehabilitation, disability services, higher education, and law. She grew up in New Hampshire, spending much of her childhood in Vermont with family, and later lived in Florida, New York City, Washington, DC, and western Virginia before returning to Vermont. Outside of work, Court enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, especially hiking, camping, biking, and running, and she has a strong interest in mind-body practices and the role that movement, recreation, and time in nature can play in overall well-being.
Philosophy of Care
Court’s philosophy of care is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and respect for each person’s lived experience. She believes people make sense within the context of what they have experienced, the environments they have lived in, and the ways they have learned to adapt. Her approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and attentive to the connection between emotional and physical well-being, including nervous-system and mind-body responses to stress. Court sees therapy as a collaborative process and believes clients are the experts on their own lives.
