Peter Diercksen, MD

Peter graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1975. He went to medical school at Upstate SUNY in Syracuse, NY and graduated in 1979. He completed a 3-year Family Practice residency in 1982. He and his wife moved to Castleton, VT where he practiced as a board certified family practitioner for over 40 years. He liked practicing in a rural area and making house calls on numerous elderly patients. Peter was also the team physician at Fair Haven Union High School during those 40 years.
He has been a member of the Castleton Lions for over 20 years. Peter is on the board of directors for Castleton Senior Center and chairman of the golf committee. He works with the Community Health Diabetes Education Program doing outpatient blood screening for diabetes and pre-diabetes.
Peter enjoys traveling and especially loves spending time with his 3 children and their families. He is an avid golfer and likes to garden.
