
Chadd Vigger, MS, LADC

Chadd is the current CEO of Recovery House, a Vermont-based, private, non-profit substance use treatment organization that specializes in residential levels of care. Holding a Master's in mental health counseling (Suffolk University), Chadd began his career in direct services. Starting in the school system working with children, Chadd quickly realized that helping the parents can make a huge difference in the lives of their children. Switching to adult services over a decade ago, Chadd focused on substance use treatment, working both inpatient and outpatient settings. From counseling to clinical supervision, Chadd's career path led him to be one of the youngest CEO's in healthcare, in Vermont.
Chadd's focus remains on client services, and the professional development of others. Holding a lifelong mantra of "enact societal change," Chadd has focused on educating and empowering professionals in the field of human services. In addition to his primary role with Recovery House, Chadd has also found a passion for teaching. Beginning with both undergraduate and graduate level offerings, Chadd started his professorial journey at the College of St. Joseph – currently calls Vermont State University - Castleton his academic home.
When he is not working or teaching, Chadd can be found spending time with his family, coaching youth sports, enjoying music, and spending time with friends.
Chadd is currently serving as the President of the Vermont Substance Use Treatment Collaborative. This network of professional SUD treatment organizations is the largest agency collaborative of its type in Vermont. Chadd is also an elected official, serving as a Selectboard member for the town of Fair Haven, VT.
