Patricia Kijak, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with Community Health’s Behavioral Health Team. She primarily works with children and adolescents. She worked as a nurse for over a decade prior to becoming a nursing practitioner.
While studying for her undergrad in nursing she concomitantly studied music and the arts. She completed her Master of Science at MCPHS in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Kijak spends her free time with her loved ones and enjoys reading, skating, and indoor gardening.
Philosophy of Care
I believe in helping clients and their families learn the communication styles they encounter to understand why some behaviors have emerged and the best way to foster successful communication to improve outcomes. Deciphering communication can be complex and finding effective strategies to foster this understanding of different communication styles is one of the primary focuses in my work.
