Do You Know the Health Care Heroes in Your Neighborhood?

Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region Celebrates National Health Care Week August 12-18

Rutland, VT– Affordable, comprehensive, state-of-the-art health care administered by top notch providers is right here in your neighborhood at Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region (CHCRR). CHCRR’s eight locations are taking part in the national week of awareness and celebration of community health centers August 12-18 by encouraging new and current patients to stop by for free goodies and packets of information about how community health centers can help you and your family stay healthy.

“Each of our clinics is doing an education table in the waiting room in honor of National Health Center Week for their patients focusing on a different topic each day,” said Jill Jesso-White, CHCRR’s compliance officer and patient relations. “At all of our locations there will be giveaways like SPF lip balm, packets of almonds, place mats showing healthy portions of food groups along with information about a variety of health-related topics.”

Each day of the week a different topic will be featured:

Mon, Aug 13
Dental Day

Tue, Aug 14
Healthy Eating

Wed, Aug 15
Sun & Water Safety

Thurs, Aug 16
Water/Hydration

Fri, Aug 17

This year, the National Association of Community Health Centers and the Health Center Advocacy Network has invited health centers to recognize what they are calling “health care heroes,” all of the individual providers who live in our communities and have dedicated their careers to providing quality health care for our neighbors. Come and meet CHCRR’s health care heroes!
